It is that time of year again where ANZ Bank offers their netball grants programme to provide club teams and players with a welcome boost.
"The third season of the ANZ Premiership has taken off, and as the countdown to the community netball season ticks down, ANZ is asking Whanganuinetballers what difference having them on their team would make," said the bank's press release.
Last year, the Tech A2 team from Whanganui netball applied for assistance and received a brand new set of netball gear.
Elsewhere in 2018, ANZ Premiership players surprised a primary school team with a pre-game training session and gear, while a young netballer with aspirations to be a sports journalist was named the official ANZ Junior Sports Reporter and interviewed the Silver Ferns squad.
Netball legend Irene Van Dyk, along with a mental strength coach, visited a struggling goal shoot to give her the confidence and resilience in her game.
ANZ's head of sponsorship Sue McGregor says the bank has given more than $700,000 to help teams and players all over the country achieve their netball dreams.
"We are proud to support Kiwi netballers at every level, from the grassroots player's right up to the elite athletes in the ANZ Premiership.
"We know that having the support of someone on your team, backing you all the way can make a massive difference in achieving your netball goals."
