Have you ever wanted to learn how to paint, but don't have the time for classes?
If so, Maria Fredette can help.
Ms Fredette runs the Fredette School of Art in Victoria Court, and she has just started running painting parties.
"In three hours I take people through the steps of making a painting," Ms Fredette said.
Everyone makes the same painting. But, she said, everyone's painting turns out different - even if only subtly.
"That's what makes it special."
Ms Fredette said people could come along individually, or in groups. The painting parties are held in the evening, and people are welcome to order food from the Japanese Kitchen across the way to eat during the party.
"It's a great way to have a fun evening with your friends."
Previous painting experience is not necessary.
"All you need to bring is clothes that you don't mind getting paint on, and a sense of fun," Ms Fredette said.
+Painting parties cost $49 per person, which includes all materials. They are held at 6.30pm on Thursday. Bookings are advised, and can be made by sending a message to the Fredette School of Arts Facebook page.
