A forestry worker has been hurt in an accident near Waverley this morning.
He has been taken to Wellington Hospital by the Taranaki Community Rescue Helicopter with a St John intensive care paramedic on board.
The accident happened at 10.02am near the corner of Okahutiria and Karahaki Rds.
A StJohn spokesman said he couldn't give details of the injuries or the man's condition.
UPDATE: A Capital & Coast District Health Board spokesperson has said the man, in his early 20s, is being assessed in the Wellington Hospital emergency department and was in a stable condition.
