There are just days left to snap up a stunning new book about Whanganui at a discount price. And if you do so, you could also be dining out for free.

The book - From the Sea to the Mountain - offers a wonderful insight into the region's many attractions. The 224-page, full colour, hard back coffee table book is beautifully designed and features stunning photos from a range of local photographers who have captured Whanganui's natural charms, its heritage buildings and many activities. A number of well-known local writers and journalists have contributed articles, and the book makes a perfect Christmas present and is likely to become a treasured keepsake in many households.

The book will be published in November and on sale at $24.95, but Chronicle readers can pre-order until Sunday, September 30, and receive a 20 per cent discount, paying just $19.95 by using our special online code.

In addition to the discount, publisher Henry Newrick is offering readers the opportunity to go into a draw to win one of three dining out vouchers courtesy of Caroline's Boatshed and the Grand Hotel.

First prize is a $50 dining voucher at Caroline's and there are two runner-up prizes worth $30 each, being dining vouchers at the Grand Hotel.
