MudMuster2014 Hundreds to 'get stuck into the mud' in McDonald's Mud Muster®.

Hundreds of Kiwis from across the country are set to flock to Upokongaro on Saturday, October 17 to take part in Wanganui's premier mud run.
Entries for the third annual McDonald's Mud Muster are now closed and the event is, for the first time ever, taking place at Wanganui's Shelter View
Jetsprint Park.
Organiser Sport Whanganui's events manager Rachel O'Connor says the new venue means a complete surprise for new and past participants alike.
"We're really excited to this year offer an entirely new course and venue for Mud Muster participants.
"We've been keeping the new course lay-out a secret, so the element of surprise will add whole extra levels of fun and excitement to the event as well as new challenges, new scenery, new obstacles and a revamped course. Something we can absolutely guarantee, however, is plenty of 'mud' and a 'wetter-than-ever' experience.
"All entrants will also go into a draw to win some fantastic spot prizes, including a Velo Ronny's Bicycle Store bike and an instant exhilarating spin around the Mud Muster course in a V8 Jetsprint boat."
The morning of Wednesday, October 14 is the last chance for entrants to benefit from the free group training sessions going ahead at Cooks Gardens from 6-7am.
Sport Whanganui and Wanganui Bootcamp teamed up to offer the weekly sessions in the lead up to the event to assist people wishing to get in shape and make their best possible Mud Muster attempt. The sessions have been running for the past six weeks and have proven popular.
Anyone who wants to get involved but not so up-and-close with the "mud" is welcome to come along on the day and watch from the designated spectator areas. The action kicks off at 10am and will tie up around 1pm. Refreshments will be available for purchase on the day (cash only).
