•Ex-pat Whanganui journeyman boxer Robert Berridge (29-6-1) will fight undefeated Canadian Ryan Ford (11-0) for the UBO light heavyweight championship in Singapore this weekend.
The lightly-regarded Universal Boxing Organization is holding a follow up to their last Singapore show in February where Ford won the vacant title against Taranaki's Sam Rapira, who Berridge also defeated last year.
•Whanganui Basketball is hosting a community initiative to providing basketball activities and games for children aged five to 13 at Springvale Stadium.
Starting tomorrow and continuing on Sunday's through to July, the 'Whanau Ballers' will be held from 9am to 12pm.
