Boarders at Wanganui Girls' College were gearing up for a spooky old time last night as they decked out the hostel to celebrate Halloween early.
Creepy cupcakes were prepared in the kitchen while senior girls embellished the halls with tricks and follies to scare their hostel mates.

Lee said the party was early because some boarders will be away on Saturday.
Cultural leader Brittany Taylor was helping out as a hostel old girl, having lived there until last year.
School leaders have been busy organising end-of-year dinners and preparing for exams, so the Halloween party was a an impromptu affair.
