They are learning their lines, tuning their instruments and practising their moves for the Terrific Tawhero Tamariki school production, opening for a first performance at 10am today.

Tawhero principal Chris Dibben says every child at the school has a role to play and it is all part of the inclusive practice at Tawhero.

"Every child has something to add to the TTT extravaganza and we are all very excited," he said.

Some of the cast will be wearing the new kapa haka uniforms completed by Junette Ward and Liz Adams last week, while others take on excitingly different roles.

Hayloh Vilikau will play the role of a beautiful horse, and 5-year-old Jake Larsen-Gillespe gets to win his spurs as a young cowboy.

Families and community will have a chance to see production at a 6pm performance on Thursday night, for a gold-coin donation.
