A man has died early this morning in a crash on State Highway One at Utiku, south of Taihape.
Police were alerted that a van had crashed over a bank near Mickelsons Road at approximately 3:40am.
The road was closed until around 5:45am.
The Police Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
