QUICK JOB: Firefighters made short work of a car engine fire in Dublin St yesterday.PHOTO/STUART MUNRO 100615WCSMCAR1

Wanganui firefighters took less than 10 minutes to extinguish a car fire outside Wanganui Intermediate School yesterday morning.

Fire officer Shane Dudley said the cause of the fire was uncertain but was probably caused by an electrical fault.

"The driver had pulled over when he saw smoke coming from under the bonnet and someone called us."
