Seamus Manson remains unbeaten in the Vet 33-44 grade of his hometown Whanganui MX Winter Series with one round to go and also sits third in the A Grade under 450cc class.

Hawera rider Steven Craig has a precarious lead in the A Grade over 450cc division of the 2017 Whanganui MX Winter Series with one round to go courtesy of a clean sweep las Sunday.

Craig won all three races in round four of the five meeting series and with his three thirds in earlier rounds sits on 229 points, just 47 ahead of Mark Cvitanovich from Palmerston North on 182. Fellow Palmerston North rides Jared Houston is 10 points behind on 172 in third.

In the A Grade under 450cc division Jacob Saville from Palmerston North leads on 209 points ahead of Keiran Baker from Hawera on 180 and Whanganui's Seamus Manson on 177 in third.

Manson also has the honours of leading the Veteran 35-44-year division on 275 points after an unbeaten run over the four rounds. Whanganui club mate Ant Rountree remains in striking distance with 234 points after six seconds and three thirds in the series to date. Graeme Bowie is in third 10 points adrift of Rountree on 224.
