Whanganui's Commonwealth Games gold medallist Gary Anderson was back on top of the podium again at the second round of the Trust House North Island Cycling Series in Martinborough on Sunday.
Defending Masters 2 individual champion, Anderson was representing the local Velo Ronny's Masters 2 team, and was first homein a field of more than 70 riders for his grade on the 82km course.
Anderson was second at the first round on September 17, with the win moving him back to the lead of the Individual General Classification, while the Velo Ronny team climbed to third in Team Series.
They were runnersup in the 2016 series.
Second individual home was Thomas Boeschenstein (Optimal Performance) while third was Huib Buyck (Total Home Theatre), who won the opening round.
Anderson's team mate Craig Yorston put in a top performance to place 16th, being only 30 seconds behind the lead finishing group of riders, while Stephen Snell came home in 30th place.
Next race for the series is on October 29, followed by November 11 and then the conclusion on December 3.
