The second weekend of April will be big for supporters of two-wheeled sports as the Wanganui Grand Prix will be the showcase of two days of the Festival of Cycling.
On the Saturday, April 12, the Grand Prix will be held, which features a number of graded road races, withprize money on the line for each of them.
The headliner will be the 11km A grade race for the John Bull Cup.
There will also be B Grade (88km), C Grade and Under 17 (66km), Under 15 (22km) and Women's C Grade (66km) races.
Racing will start at 9.30am on the Wanganui Oceania Circuit in Brunswick.
There is also Kiwi Kids Cycling inside Cooks Gardens, mustering at 11am for the 11.30am start, with a $2 entry.
Another option is the 9km Life Education Family Fun Ride a short cycle along the Whanganui River banks, with all proceeds going towards the Life Education Trust.
