It is going to be a massive weekend over Anniversary Weekend in Whanganui for all those keen classic car enthusiasts, says an organiser, Sally Jane Smith.
On January 23 enthusiasts are encouraged to leave their vintage car, classic car, hot rod, muscle car, motorbike or special interest vehicle on display
in Victoria Ave and enjoy the day.
"There is free parking for entrants and display cars. Spend some time at the Rivercity Caboodle listening to bands, visit the Saturday Market, and check out the Flea Market at the Memorial Hall or just browse around the shops and stalls along Victoria Ave.
"At 4.30pm join us for our Classic Cluster Cruise leaving Mitre 10 Mega carpark at 5.30pm. There are two routes: our long route (all tarsealed) or the short route (within the city limits) and then join us at the Grand Hotel 7pm for the lucky prize draw.
"This was a stunning sight in 2015 and if you don't own a car you can catch over 200 classic cars in convoy along the two routes."
