City's emblem of pride spotted far and wide

Wanganui's badge of pride continues to spread - with plenty of sightings of the Nui Pride stickers just two weeks after their launch.

The brainchild of masters squash champion and Wanganui cricket coach Rod Bannister, the car stickers have been sent off to Dubai, Australia, London, Denmark, Australia and Papua New Guinea, as well as various parts of New Zealand.

And already Mr Bannister is being sent photos of the stickers as they spread the word about Wanganui.

"For me, it builds pride in where you come from, and shows that you're here to promote that," he said.
