GUEST ARTIST: Chloe O'Leary features next month at Fine Arts Whanganui. PICTURE / SUPPLIED

Fine Arts Whanganui is proud to present a display of work by Chloe O'Leary.
Chloe is a self-taught artist born, raised and living in Whanganui.
She has had a love of drawing and painting from a very young age. Her first inspiration was her father as he loved drawing little sketches for
her and her brothers as children, and she watched him dabble in oil and acrylic painting, using landscapes as his main subject.
Chloe's favourite subjects, animals, are rendered in precise detail, and she loves seeing the subject's personality coming to life on the paper.
Her medium of choice is high-quality coloured pencils. This under-used medium, often regarded as something for children, in Chloe's hands produces works of fine art. All drawings are completed on high-quality A4 drawing paper, commissioned works can be on larger or smaller sizes. Limited edition prints of her drawings are also available.
Chloe's skill extends to commission work for vintage cars and she recently completed a commission for a traction engine, though animals remain her favoured subject.
Chloe's work is exhibited at fine arts Whanganui, opening Friday, September 30 at 5.30pm. The exhibition runs until October 30. Fine Arts Whanganui Gallery is open from 10am to 3pm Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, and from 9am to 3pm on Saturday.
