A fleet of cars taking up public parking by the city centre cemetery is due to be moved.

A resident complained about the cars, saying they made it difficult to visit the cemetery along Guyton St.

He also noted the cars appeared to be unwarranted and unregistered.

However, council spokeswoman Cass Alexander said yesterday: "The fleet of Wanganui Toyota cars parked near the cemetery has sold and is due for pick-up tomorrow.

"The cars are warranted and registered, but there was a delay in affixing the registration plates."
