A car has crashed into the front yard of a property in Whanganui this morning, with one person injured.

Emergency services responded to the call just after 7am .

It was a single-vehicle crash into a property on Springvale Rd.

Hato Hone St John responded with one rapid response unit and an ambulance, while police managed one-way traffic.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand crews from Whanganui responded with two trucks – one pump and one pump rescue tender.

One person was transported to Whanganui Hospital in a moderate condition.

Fire and Emergency shift manager Paul Radden said nobody was trapped in the vehicle and the vehicle was in the process of being removed about 8.20am.
