Crash on icy road
Two women and a child were airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital after a car left the road in icy conditions on State Highway 1, 5km north of Waiouru, on Sunday.
They were taken by road ambulance to Waiouru Military Camp then flown to hospital by the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter.
Later on Sunday the helicopter flew a man in his 60s from Ohakune to Whanganui Hospital. The manwas injured skiing at Turoa.

Not-guilty plea
Vance Kalem Taurere has pleaded not guilty to a charge of injuring with intent to injure and will have a judge-alone trial in Whanganui District Court.
