Climate change
Horizons Regional Council could be much more proactive about climate change, its Whanganui councillor Nicola Patrick says. She'd prefer it to be taking the lead in reducing its own emissions and considering how aspects like agriculture should adapt, but didn't get much support from fellow councillors. She said many submitters have asked for more action, and councils such as Wellington Regional Council are leading and guiding their regions.
