The Wanganui Horticultural Society held its annual spring flower show over the weekend.

Society secretary Lyn Hoskyn said 27 flower growers and flower arrangers from Whanganui, Marton, Hunterville, South Taranaki and Horowhenua had taken part in the show, which was held at Whanganui Intermediate School hall.

"There were 332 daffodil flowers on display for judging in different classes, which included children's classes," Ms Hoskyn said.

She said there had been good numbers of entries also in garden flowers, flowering shrubs, pot plants, vegetables and floral art categories.

Ms Hoskyn said the show had had plenty of visitors, which was very pleasing.
