INSIGHT: New Zealand Computing Solutions will host the September BA5 for Whanganui Chamber of Commerce.
An insight into a long-standing Whanganui computing business which has moved with the times is the focus for the Whanganui Chamber of Commerce's September Business After 5 (BA5) event.
New Zealand Computing Solutions (NZCS), which was started by Greg Nixon in the early 1990s, now has two arms: software developmentand an IT engineering department. They work with small to medium sized businesses throughout New Zealand.
As well as an overview of the company's work, the BA5 event will include a demonstration of a web-based application NZCS has developed.
"From our perspective, Whanganui is a great place for digital businesses," Whanganui Chamber of Commerce chief executive Marianne Archibald said.
"The sector is growing and our affordable lifestyle and fibre network make this a great place to work from.
"BA5s are a great way to connect with other business people. It's easy to get isolated in our own businesses and industries but connecting with those from other sectors can provide real insight and support."
The BA5 will be held at New Zealand Computing Solutions, 185 Glasgow St, at 5.30pm on Thursday, September 28. It is free to attend. To register, email ce@whanganuichamber.net.nz
