Elwood is, in fact, the junior partner but after 19 years who is counting?
They flipped a coin to see who would go first - A'Court won the toss, chose Elwood and he was off and running.
"I love this building and it is a unique experience to perform underneath Judith Collins'
diaphragm," he said, indicating the domed ceiling.
And so, the tone was set and it deteriorated rapidly throughout his performance as he spoke of growing older, the state of NZ news, American politics, Jesus behaving like a typical 30-something man and young blokes taking photos of their penises.
Nothing was sacred and there was much profanity throughout but the audience loved him to bits.
Then it was A'Court's turn and the hilarity and obscenity continued.
She asked for an audience member in their 20s and Caitlin probably regrets identifying herself as belonging to that cohort because A'Court proceeded to tell her that a lot of sex is being had by middle-aged people.
Then she told the audience about her refined and well-spoken mother who, at 84, has taken up swearing in a serious way.
"She really puts the 'r' in fark," we were told.
Thanks for some great laughs Michele and Jeremy and please come back to Whanganui soon.
