Couple check out of motel business

After three rewarding years, Lisa and Carl Murphy are checking out of the Sports Lodge Motel in Springvale.
The couple have put the business up for sale and are planning to buy a lifestyle block in Westmere.
Mrs Murphy said the business had been "awesome, but you do get tied to it. It would suit a semi-retired couple. It's in a very good location."
The motel on the corner of Surrey Rd and Parson St has six units, a spa and a lodge, which can sleep up to 15 people.
Mrs Murphy said the motel had hosted a variety of nationalities, as well as Cemetery Circuit riders, foreign students and sports teams.
