She bought Head High after returning from Wellington.
Ms Head's expertise in the hairdressing industry is wide and varied.
The Head High team welcome new clients and they continue to offer men the same service they received when the Sutcliffes and Bruce Chadfield worked in Head High.
"We are all-rounders, and also specialise in men's colours," Ms Head says of the business that originally started as a barber shop all those years ago.
Head High offers the "Mask" Davines Colours. The family company was founded in Italy and their ethos is to "encourage people to take care of themselves and of the environment in which they work and live". Other products in the Head High range are Juuce, Oi Oil and the salon has just taken on Keratin. "We have a lot of exciting things coming up in the New Year.
"We are always evolving."
