A chance to pit their rugby skills against Steelform Wanganui players saw the public lining up for a go at Whanganui's Mitre 10 on Sunday.
Seven-year-old Alanah Bowman, who has played a bit of rugby, picked up some passing tips from veteran hooker Cole Baldwin, with other players taking on members of the public in a throwing competition.
"It was a chance for people to come down and meet some of the team, try out their skills and win a prize," Baldwin said.
The event was in support of the Mitre 10 Heartland Championship and followed Steelform Wanganui's win against North Otago on Saturday, putting the local side into the Meads Cup semifinals.
