The Whanganui Regional Museum has been taken over by paper puppets, rainbow jellyfish and fire-breathing dragons these school holidays.
The museum, at its temporary location on Ridgway St, is in the middle of its winter school holiday programme.
Among the free activities is an explorer trail and creative colouring competition which children can participate in at anytime during the two weeks.
There are also drop-in craft tables from 10am-1pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
"Basically everyone just comes along, we provide all the supplies. It's free and we've had a great response," museum administrator Kathryn Stevenson said.
