Police found seven cannabis plants in the home of a Whanganui man who claimed they were for self-medication.
Michael Damian Mcneoll pleaded guilty to drug related charges including cultivating cannabis when he appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday.
Police prosecutor senior sergeant Stephen Butler said on March 1, police conducted a search and Mcneoll immediately admitted the allegations of cannabis.
"The offender pointed out seven cannabis plants..and two further bags were located in the kitchen," Mr Butler said.
"The offender stated the cannabis was for his own use for self-medication."
