Whanganui firefighters spent more than two hours at a fire that destroyed the contents of a garage on Sunday night.
They were called to it just before 10.30, and didn't leave the Gorran Ave property until about 1am, Station Officer Bob Wills-Rawlings said.
The metal building at the rear of
a section contained household belongings, which were on fire.
The fire was extinguished, and no other property was at risk.
Firefighters were still trying to determine the cause of the blaze. Whanganui Police were not involved.
