GOOD CAUSE: The Wanganui Chronicle's Gene Toyne, Cheryl Timoti of naming sponsor Property Brokers, Birthright manager Barbara Young, and Philip Kubiak, Property Brokers Wanganui branch manager, at the cheque presentation.

Despite some rough weather, between 800 and 1000 people took part in the Property Brokers 39th annual Round the Bridges Fun Run/Walk last month.

And a bit of rain and tired legs have been rewarded with a fantastic result - a total of $3100 being raised for this year's charitable cause Birthright Wanganui.

Birthright manager Barbara Young said she was was incredibly grateful that her organisation had been chosen this year and the proceeds will be put to good use supporting local children.

Chronicle features manager Gen Toyne expressed the organisers appreciation to everyone involved - participants, supporters and sponsors, without whom this successful event would not have been possible.
