Whanganui musician Daniel Harding has been nominated for the Self Managed Artist of the Year award by the Music Managers Forum for the second year in a row.

Harding was nominated last year, but has not yet won the title.

The singer-songwriter won best male pop artist in the Los Angeles Music Awards in 2014, released his debut EP, Melodic Emotions, last year and performed in Fiji.

His current single, Baptism of Fire, is being played on radio in 22 US states and in Europe.

"I really enjoy managing myself, it makes life a lot easier, and I can pay myself the 20 per cent," he said.

He is planning a New Zealand tour with his band, LotsWife, and will travel to Los Angeles for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards in November.
