After 31 years in the River City, Wanganui's Trade Aid store is set to close its doors permanently on Saturday.
The shop is part of a nationwide chain that sells fair trade products, including food, crafts and homewares, from around the world.
The closure will leave manager Katie Hedgman-Dalton without a job and displace 12 volunteers, including one who has been volunteering at the shop for more than 25 years.
Ms Hedgman-Dalton, who has been with the shop for five years, said she was "very sad and disappointed".
She was told about the closure on January 28, giving her just over two weeks' notice.
