Police are asking for help from the public to find a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in Wanganui on Wednesday night.
A pedestrian was hit by a dark-coloured people mover on Akatea St near Maire St just before 11pm in what police say "appears to be a deliberate act". The
pedestrian suffered some injuries but was not hospitalised.
Police would like to speak to the driver and passengers of a white van that stopped to help the pedestrian after they were hit.
