The head of Wanganui's health authority is looking for some positive outcomes from a National-led Government being returned at last weekend's election.
Kate Joblin, who chairs the Whanganui District Health Board, said the election result had given a degree of certainty to the board's future.
But Mrs Joblin said until Prime Minister John Key had settled on coalition agreements "there remains some uncertainty around government policy and objectives".
"We've had a very positive relationship with Health Minister Tony Ryall and we're waiting with anticipation for the announcement of the new Minister of Health."
She said the board would be hoping the continuity of government policy would show up in the ongoing backing of the fledgling Whanau Ora policy.
