The Chiefs needed a rest after getting a serious case of the speed wobbles against the previously unimpressive Reds in Brisbane a week previously.

This Friday's clash with the Bulls could only be more important if the G8 were to hold a summit meeting on Waikato Stadium during the halftime
break.

Both teams need the win, but you'd have to give the well-rested Chiefs the advantage, playing at home against a team on a short turnaround.
