The Investec super rugby championship winning Chiefs start the pre-season in Taupo against the Highlanders tomorrow at 3pm at Owen Delany Park.

The fixture is an opportunity to view two of the top super rugby teams in action.

The Taupo District Council, King Country Rugby Union and Suncourt Hotel have provided great support to continue to bring top players to Taupo.

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie is expected to use the first hit-out as a trial and players will be working hard to secure a starting position for the first match against the Highlanders in Dunedin on February 22.

Families are encouraged to take picnics into the park but no alcohol or commercially branded take-away food will be allowed. Food and beverages available on site.
