Liam Messam's 100th match for the Chiefs was celebrated by a win over the Southern Kings, 35-24, and collecting five points in Port Elizabeth on Saturday morning, to remain on top of the New Zealand Conference.

After the game the players performed a haka for Messam.

Liam Messam's special milestone will be celebrated again tonight at the Chiefs home game against the Highlanders with some special events.

There will be Liam Messam Centurion poster giveaways and fans are being encouraged to stay for a special post-match presentation to Messam.

Wing Lelia Masaga put on an impressive display for his co-captain by scoring a hat-trick of tries and treating the fans to his signature dance moves in the Southern Kings' match. He was voted player of the Day by Chiefs fans.

At the match there will also be Chiefs flag giveaways, Waikato Draught 'Catch for Cash', Chiefs cheerleaders and performances from the Maori Toa group.

The Chiefs and the Hamilton City Council will run a free bus services on game night. Buses start from 6pm from Hood St to the stadium and back to Hood St after the match. They leave about every 15 minutes.
