It was finals week for the Lodge Real Estate and The Base Year 7 and Year 8 (Intermediates) competition on Saturday, September 3 - this the conclusion of three grading days, five competition round games and five championship round games.

The finals games for the Year 8 Premier grade pools 1 and 2 were closely contested encounters with lots of spectator support on what was a reasonably fine day.

Peachgrove Premier in their final against Berkley 8A led from start to finish but Berkley 8A did draw the second quarter and won the final quarter. Peachgrove Premier led by four goals at end of first quarter and at half time they still led by four goals.

Peachgrove Premier then had a very strong and comprehensive third quarter restricting Berkley 8A to just one goal and to lead by nine goals. The final quarter was won by Berkley 8A by two goals but it was too little too late.

The final score was 23 goals to 16.
