Magic look to van Dyk for morale

Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic are leaning on an old head to keep morale up as they struggle through their winless ANZ Championship campaign.

Usually a New Zealand powerhouse franchise, the Magic are dead last heading into round five.

Coach Noeline Taurua says shooter Irene van Dyk has been a massive asset off the court.

Taurua says van Dyk's personality provides balance in a sometimes stressful environment.
