The three-day SkyCity-sponsored Waikato Senior Golf Championships enjoyed spring-like conditions.
The low handicapper in the field, Onewhero's Martin Tumata playing off a plus two, came out on top despite finding the Narrows course a challenge on Saturday.
Tumata has figured in the leading groups for the past year or two
and this year maintained his form to take out the 54-hole championship played at the Waikare, Narrows and Hamilton golf clubs.
Consistent performer Wybo Veldman (Hamilton) overcame an average start to score well at Narrows and his home course to lead the 50-54 years age group home.
Brett Gregory, from Whitford Park, won the 55-59 year group and former champion Arthur Parkin, from Maungakiekie, won the 60 years plus contingent.
