Chiefs hold off Force for fifth straight win

The Chiefs topped the Super Rugby table overnight with a hard-fought 20-12 win over the Force in Perth.

Lelia Masaga and Tim Nanai-Williams scored a try apiece for the visitors, while Aaron Cruden kicked two penalties and two conversions in front of the 17,000 strong crowd at nib Stadium.

The Chiefs led 7-6 at the half. The Force's points all came from the boot of fullback Dave Harvey.

The Force, who last week beat the Reds 45-19, now place last in the Australian conference. They face the Waratahs next week.

The Chiefs now play the Cheetahs and Sharks in South Africa.
