The Chiefs are top of the table after their seventh successive victory - this time over the Sharks at Kings Park this morning.

First-five Aaron Cruden scored 13 points in the 18-12 win including a try while replacement halfback Augustine Pulu scored in the last play of the game to
pull clear.

The Chiefs were up 10-3 at halftime. Man of the match was Sam Cane.

The win means the Chiefs are unbeaten since their opening round loss to the Highlanders.

They sit at the top of the points table with 35, with the Stormers, also seven wins from eight, on 33. and the Bulls, with six wins from eight, also on 33.

The Australian conference leaders are the Brumbies on 26, with four wins from eight.

The Chiefs play the Hurricanes at Waikato Stadium on Saturday night. The Canes went down to the Crusaders last night 42-14.
