Paterson Burn Optometrists' managing partner Adrian Paterson is hitting the Waikato River for his first swim in the 5 Bridges River Swim on Sunday.

Although he has spent many hours swimming laps at the Gallagher Pools with his fitness groups The Whalers, Adrian has never attempted the river swim.

His main goal will be to finish the event at the Anne St beach and jokes that he doesn't want to end up in Ngaruawahia.

It's not too late to register for the 5 Bridges River Swim as organisers will be taking late entries from 11am and right up until 12.30pm on the day.

Swim start is at 1pm at the Hamilton Gardens, below the carpark towards the river for more information contact Ele Pinfold by emailing ele-ross@wave.co.nz or phoning 027 417 0211
