A woman accused of the murder of her husband has been granted bail.

Carol Takua Waa, 61, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Gerald Wiremu Waa in a Te Aroha St, Hamilton, flat on Saturday, March 11.

Carol Waa made a brief appearance in the High Court at Hamilton today where, through lawyer Kerry Burroughs, she successfully applied for electronically monitored bail.

Waa's five day trial is set down for February 26, next year.
