Preparations are well under way for The Great NZ Food Show, showcasing the best in food, wine, delicious edibles and innovative products, at Mystery Creek Events Centre on April 30 and May 1.

The Heathcote Appliances Cooking Theatre is full of exciting entertainers such as chef and food writer Ray McVinnie; TV host, author amd intrepid traveller Brett McGregor; and one of New Zealand's favourite cooks and cookbook authors, Chelsea Winter.

There's also a great taste of Waikato talent featured: the 2014 My Kitchen Rules NZ winners from Cambridge, Neena and Belinda, and NZ Beef & Lamb Ambassador and award-winning Victoria Street Bistro chef Andrew Clarke.

"We are thrilled with the high calibre of people we have performing in our Heathcote Appliances Cooking Theatre this year," said event manager Michele Connell.

"There is such talent in this country, particularly in and around the Waikato, so it is great to be able to show off our locals as well as the celebrity chefs".
