Flying the flag for the old school is the legendary Steel Pulse. The Grammy Award winners opened for Bob Marley and The Wailers on their 1978 European tour and have toured the world extensively for more than 35 years.
Reggae ambassadors Third World, renowned for their vibrant blend of roots, reggae, pop and soul, are also a must-see. The six-piece formed in 1973 and topped the charts in 1978 with the classic tune Now That We Found Love.
The 2016 festival also sees a cracking local line-up, from heritage acts and crowd-pleasers such as Herbs, Ardijah and Che Fu to the modern-day red, golden, green warriors Sammy J, Tomorrow People, Swiss, Three Houses Down and Chad Chambers.
As if that wasn't enough to get the party started, also on the bill are summer festival-favourites Katchafire, House of Shem, Kora, Sons of Zion, 1814, Paua and Ria Hall.
And, in their first New Zealand appearance in four years - the much-respected Nesian Mystik reform just for One Love.
The One Love festival has grown over the years, gathering momentum with 2015 being the biggest to date.
With a line-up like this, stretched over one whole weekend and at a venue located in the pumping holiday spot of Tauranga - just minutes from some of New Zealand's most pristine beaches - it's not surprising that tickets to One Love are selling five times faster than last year.
