Also on is the Whangamata Christmas Carols 2023

Bigger, better, brighter and louder...that’s the plan for Whangamata Christmas Carols 2023, when we hope to welcome a huge choir of singers to join the carollers in this year’s programme.

This year’s programme will include four events starting with the Whangamata Santa Christmas Parade in early December when some of the carollers will entertain the community from the back of a Christmas float.

The Carols Programme will be presented at the RSA’s annual Christmas Grotto.

The big programme starts on December 23 at the Onemana Reserve where the community always lends its wholehearted support to the event with the usual visit from Santa and his fairies to treat the littlies.

The grand event Christmas with Carols in the Park is from 7pm on Christmas Eve, December 24, at Williamson Park, Whangamata.

This is a FREE event with all proceeds going to the Community Services Trust and its Whangamata Food Bank.

Bigger, better, brighter, our 2023 event, with an increased Community involvement, will bring all the favourites from familiar to new Christmas Carols to Santa with his elves, lollies for the little ones (and the not-so-little) and Lucky Draw prizes for all.

Singers wanted

Carols in the Park 2023 organisers are calling for singers to join the Christmas Carols Choir. We hope to welcome back all our ‘regulars’ and heaps of new choristers.

Anyone interested should contact Denise Boston on 021 122 6564. She urges anyone who enjoys a singalong to roll up and join the choir:

“It will only take a few hours out of your life for a big return and you’ll be making a very special contribution to the Community”.

Denise confirms you don’t need to be a great singer, just enjoy a good singalong and be prepared to put your heart, soul and a bit more into it.

The first rehearsal to announce the programme and set rehearsal dates will be on

Sunday 29th October, 4 pm at the Baptist Church.

All interested please email/text/phone, Denise Boston denise@newyou.net.nz with their name, phone/email details.
