One person was flown to Waikato Hospital after a “water-related” incident at Raglan Beach.

Hato Hone St John were called to the incident at 4.30pm today.

“We sent one transporting ambulance, one helicopter, and one primary response doctor to the scene,” a St John spokesperson said.

The status of the patient was unknown, but they were taken to hospital “on board the helicopter”.

Police were not called to the incident.

Surf Life Saving has been approached for comment.
