Police can now name the person who died following a crash on Rosemont Rd, Waihī on April 13.

“He was 56-year-old Reihana Claude Albert Ngamotu, of Tauranga,” a police statement said.

“Our thoughts are with those close to him.”

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash, involving a motorcycle, at the intersection of Rosemont Rd and Consols St about 8.20pm on Sunday, April 13.

The rider died at the scene, police said.
