Truck crash closes State Highway 1 between Waiōuru and Rangipo

The Desert Rd is closed following a crash this morning.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) said State Highway 1 was closed between Waiōuru to Rangipo due to a truck roll.

“Consider an alternative route and allow additional time for travel through the area this morning.”

Police said emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash north of Waiōuru at about 7am.

“One person sustained minor injuries.”
